Angela J. Perry is a NYC poet living in the East Village and supporting herself by slinging martinis in the West Village, while studying to become a veterinarian's assistant.
Angela has been the resident poet at the Manhattan Theatre Source for the last six seasons where her first poetry installation was viewed by President and Secretary Clinton. Since that time several group and solo performances of her work have been staged there.
An unusal credit (for poetry) occurred for Angela, in 2006, when her work was featured on
fashion designer Heatherette's Spring '06 line.
In addition to pants, she's also had poems in issues of: The Big Toe Review, Pawpars, The Pemmican Press, Frigg Magazine, Snakeskin, Juked, Poetic Diversity, New Graffiti, Triplopia, Dispatch Literaview, Asinine Poetry, Barefoot Muse, Caesura, and Adagio Verse Quarterly.
Her poem ‘Love is in the Eye of the Besotted’ was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
She prefers dark beer and
her nickname is Chicken.
